HoLEP removes obstructing prostate tissue using a laser passed through the urethra, with no external incisions. With over 700 procedures performed — including prostates exceeding 400g — it is the primary focus of his surgical practice.
About HoLEPUreteroscopic lithotripsy with Thulium Fibre Laser treats stones in the ureter and kidney without incisions. Most patients are discharged the same day and return to normal activity within a week.
About kidney stone surgeryTransperineal biopsy with MRI fusion allows accurate sampling of suspicious prostate lesions through the skin, with markedly lower infection risk than the traditional transrectal approach.

Dr Hadjipavlou trained at King's College London School of Medicine and completed higher specialist training in urology at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and other units across London and the South East of England, including world-renowned private hospitals King Edward VII Hospital, Princess Grace Hospital, London Bridge Hospital and the Harley Street Clinic. He holds the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT) in Urology and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Urology) and of the European Board of Urology.
He returned to Cyprus in 2023 and practises as Consultant Urological Surgeon and Andrologist and Director of the Urological Department at El Greco Medical Centre. He consults at Nicosia Medical Centre and performs surgical procedures and endoscopies at El Greco Medical Centre. He maintains an active academic profile with over 30 peer-reviewed publications and more than 70 national and international presentations.
