Areas of specialist focus

Three areas where the majority of Dr Hadjipavlou's surgical practice is concentrated.

HoLEP — Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate

HoLEP removes obstructing prostate tissue using a laser passed through the urethra, with no external incisions. With over 700 procedures performed — including prostates exceeding 400g — it is the primary focus of his surgical practice.

About HoLEP

Ureteroscopic Lithotripsy with Thulium Fibre Laser

Ureteroscopic lithotripsy with Thulium Fibre Laser treats stones in the ureter and kidney without incisions. Most patients are discharged the same day and return to normal activity within a week.

About kidney stone surgery

Transperineal MRI-Fusion Prostate Biopsy

Transperineal biopsy with MRI fusion allows accurate sampling of suspicious prostate lesions through the skin, with markedly lower infection risk than the traditional transrectal approach.

How a consultation works

Refer or call directly

You do not need a GP referral to make an appointment. Contact the secretary directly and she will arrange a convenient appointment at Nicosia Medical Centre. Referral letters from GPs and specialists are equally welcome.

Assessment and investigations

At your first appointment your symptoms and medical history are discussed in detail. The appropriate investigations are arranged — ultrasound, PSA, urodynamics, MRI, or other tests — based on your specific presentation.

Treatment plan

Once a complete picture has been established, your options are presented clearly — the benefits and risks of each, and what the evidence says. There is no pressure. The right next step is decided together.

What patients say

Doctify verified reviews from UK practice

"For over ten years I was on medication for BPH with no real improvement — my PSA had risen to 7.7. After HoLEP, fifteen days later everything was back to normal, and one month later my PSA had dropped to 0.5. I would unreservedly recommend this procedure."

Μάριος Π. Google

"The best specialist — the most considerate in his approach to patients. I have no words to describe him. Congratulations, a thousand times over."

Χαρίκλεια Χ. Google
